Description:
Apply knowledge of chemical processing of metallic parts. Apply knowledge of bond primers and paint primers to metallic and nonmetallic parts. Apply knowledge of engineering and scientific methods and tools that characterize behavior of products and processes. Document results in reports, specifications, and supporting data. Interface with other members of the project, program teams, management, and technical staff. Implement engineering solutions to meet group, organization, and company objectives. Develop solutions to complex problems which require ingenuity and innovation. Work according to established guidelines. Support the development of engineering processes, specifications, methods, and tools. Make routine contact with teaming partners and suppliers. Apply engineering knowledge in order to write engineering specifications.




Requirements:
Prefer a BS or MS in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering/Materials Science with an emphasis on chemical process lines and primers with a minimum of 8 years experience in materials and processes development and application.
Knowledge of engineering and scientific principles for chemical processing of metallic parts. Knowledge of bond primers and corrosion resistance primers for metallic parts. Knowledge of epoxy and polyurethane primers for paint. Knowledge of material properties in order to develop, select, or recommend materials that the environmental and regulatory requirements for chemical, environmental, and mechanical systems. Knowledge of fabrication assembly processes in order to develop production process specifications that are repeatable, cost effective, environmentally friendly, and meet contractual and regulatory requirements.
