We have a newly-created position for a Jr. Materials and Process Engineer.

 

MATERIALS & PROCESS ENGINEER, JR

 

Job Description:

 

Responsible for the research and specification of materials and process required for various designs in coordination with Sr. M & P; Perform root cause analysis of materials, chemical/mechanical processing and corrosion related problems and recommend solutions; Provide recommendations for material, finishes and manufacturing process improvements; Conduct new material or process testing and trial run as required; Create and change specifications or procedures as required based on customer requirement, process improvement or encountered problem; Review and provide status of compliance of materials used in the design in accordance with aerospace standards and different environmental regulations (for U.S. and other countries).

 

 

Qualification Requirements:

 

Must have a B.S. degree in Material Science or Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering; Ability to read and understand engineering drawings, specifications, operation sheets and environmental standards; Knowledge to create reports using Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and Project; Specification and Procedure writing capability; Some knowledge of part fabrication and machining operations.

 

The candidate must also be able to organize and prioritize tasks, and have strong written and oral communication skills.
