Summary:

.  Work on complex problems in a multi-disciplined team environment resulting in the introduction of new color printers.

?  Responsible for development of mechanical components and subsystems including specification, design, analysis and testing.

 

Responsibilities:

? Select part configurations, materials and manufacturing processes to achieve reliable function at low cost.

?  Validate design through analysis and testing, designing test fixtures and special instrumentation where necessary.

?  Responsible for measuring, tracking and ensuring compliance to sub-assembly performance, schedule, reliability and cost targets.

?  Work with manufacturing engineers to develop assembly procedures, tools and measurement systems.

?  Work with purchasing department and outside vendors to source components and assemblies.

?  Document design and testing.

 

Requirements:

BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering.

1 to 3 years Electro - Mechanical product design work experience preferred but not required.

Development of creative design solutions to technical problems from inception to product introduction.

Structured approach to design optimization, failure analysis, experiment design and problem solving.

Development and qualification of measurement systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work with fast paced, multi-disciplinary team.

Experience with ME CAD tools, Solid modeling, FEA.

Knowledge of materials and high volume manufacturing processes is a plus.

Knowledge of machine shop and prototype processes is a plus.
