Mechanical Design Engineer ? CAE

POSITION - Mechanical Design Engineer to lead and perform the
mechanical design activities required to design and develop variable
valve actuation for diesel and gasoline internal combustion engines.


MAJOR JOB QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFIC SKILLS - Minimum of 5
years experience in design / development of precision mechanical
components required, with hands-on engine experience. - 3 to 5
years experience in design analysis required, with experience in
either dynamics, structural analysis, finite element analysis. -
Working knowledge of processes used in MFG automotive components. -
Excellent coordination and communication skills required, with 3 to
5 years experience with customer interface (preferred). - CAE
skills in Visual Basic, FEA, Dynamics and Hydraulics (preferred). -
Working knowledge of internal combustion engines and / or
experience in the automotive industry (preferred). - Valve train
product design experience (preferred).

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Develop design concepts for advanced valve train
products. Perform or coordinate the design and development
engineering functions for new products in Advanced Engineering. -
Develop advanced engine component concepts to demonstrate and support
product development. - Perform all required design analysis (i.
e. structural, thermal, magnetic and dynamic analysis as
required) - Lead development activities (including project
management) on new products to insure successful gate reviews and
concept verification - Lead and coordinate product test and
verification efforts Educational Requirements -
Mechanical engineering - B.S. Required / M.S. Preferred
