Mechanical Design Engineer - Cab/Electricals

Job Summary The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the development of mechanical parts and assemblies for a truck cab which include electrical control enclosures, mounting brackets, electrical components and wire harnesses.
Ability to work with the cab vendor and resolve manufacturing problems as it appear.

 

Essential Job Duties
Primary functions will be truck cab related parts and assemblies.
Interface with cab suppliers for existing cab issues.
Overseeing new cab development project.
General Mechanical design to support electrical group.

 

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities
3-5 years experience in Mechanical Design in Cab / Dash design and layout.
ProE or AutoCAD experience.
Automotive or Truck Cab or Dash Assembly / Dash ergonomic related experience.
Good communication skills and ability to work with manufacturing.
Good project coordination and organizational skills.

 

Working knowledge of ISO and DIN standards as applied to components of heavy equipment, preferrably mobile equipment.
