Mechanical Design Engineer - direct hire (431A-3294393a)

Our client has an immediate requirement for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer.

This is a direct hire opportunity for the right candidate.


Description / Requirements:

- BSME plus 5 years of professional experience minimum in mechanical engineering.

- Ability to efficiently rationalize a product's design and resulting costs.

- Ability to work with cross functional teams to successfully drive product cost reductions.

- Developing and maintaining organized supporting product design calculations.

- Creating and maintaining CAD product models, layouts and detail drawings (SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD skills preferred).

- Creating and maintaining product bills of material and routings in an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.

- Ability to work with customers, both internal and external, and turn their requirements into working products and then to support them throughout the product life cycle.

- Proficient in Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning.

Desired but not absolutely required:
- Performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on Solidworks models using Cosmos Works.
- Microsoft Excel.
- Microsoft Project.
- Project leadership.
- Accelerated life testing to ensure product reliability and performance.
