Mechanical Designer Ride Design

The Mechanical Designer, Ride Design for the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, CA will provide the Resort with conceptual design and production design of attractions in support of the planning and execution of capital and sustainment projects. They will partner with engineers and develop conceptual design and production design package in support of project requirements. Coordinate design planning with internal and external entities and review design package with vendors and shops for conformance with design documentation. They will be responsible for maintaining measurement and testing equipment and perform data gathering and documentation to maintain reference materials. They will research and select proper materials, processes and vendors to be specified for design projects and stay abreast of new technologies and best practices regarding designs, materials, and products. They will provide CAD design of layouts and detail drawings to support Engineers for capital and expense projects and will ensure that drawings comply with applicable codes, legislation and regulatory requirements. They will also provide technical CAD support to Design Team and trouble shoot computer/software issues in supporting the Company in developing CAD standards.





REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
HS Diploma or GED BA/BS strongly preferred, and 10+ years exp in Mechanical Engineering/Machine Design.
Proficiency in SolidWorks & Autocad.
Solid Engineering diagnostic skills.
Solid knowledge of materials, processes, specifications, ASME standards, & engineering documentation skills.
Solid Mechanical design skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Strong written & verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with strong problem solving/analytical skills & time management/organization skills.
Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of management to include executive staff.
Aptitude to quickly learn computer software packages.
