MECHANICAL ENGINEER

The Fluke Corporation, manufacturer of test and measurement equipment seeks a talented professional to work in a fast-paced, high-tech, manufacturing environment as a Mechanical Engineer. Candidate will be a part of Industrial Group Engineering team and will be responsible for developing new products. Position requires an innovative individual with excellent technical skills, electronic manufacturing experience and the ability to work with a diverse group of associates in cross-functional teams.

 

This position is located at Fluke?s Corporate Headquarters in Everett, Washington. Fluke is a dynamic, global company doing business in more than 100 countries. Key Responsibilities:

?Perform engineering packaging design at conceptual level.

?Research new concepts and maintain awareness of new designs.

?Direct preparation of project documentation.

?Coordinate activities through vendors and with manufacturing and department/project personnel.

?Conduct functional and environmental testing to ensure a sound and safe mechanical design.

?May provide direction to project personnel of lower classification.

?Prepare proposals, cost estimates and schedules.

?Development and creation of complete product 3D part files using Pro Engineer

?Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

Key Competencies Required:

?Full knowledge of heat transfer, stress analysis, injection molding and plastic materials. A high degree of evaluation, originality and ingenuity is required. Experience with computers and Computer Aided Engineering software.

 

Education and/or Experience Required

?Minimum of 4 years experience using Pro Engineer

?Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 1-3 years practical technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. For the Senior level, education as above, plus a minimum of 5 years practical technical experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
