Position #1: Mechanical Project Engineer (Dayton)

 

Description:

1. System design considering safety, production/throughput, environment, cost and maintenance/reliability.
2. Equipment/piping/valve/instrumentation specification, procurement and expedition.
3. Bid package development, review and contractor selection. Review of bid results and contract award.
4. Construction management considering safety, schedule, efficiency, cost management and documentation.
5. Start-up and commissioning activities involving maintenance files, SOPs, equipment/instrumentation checkout and programming/interlock verification

6. Assist operators in production management activities.

 

Breakdown of Duties:
25% - Development and research of equipment and system options. Budget and return on investment analysis.
20% - Construction and project cost management.

15% - Process engineering: P&ID development, system flow/equipment and throughput engineering calculations (mass balance, retention time, etc.)
15% - Detailed design engineering and bid package development.
15% - Assist operations with production management.

10% - Commissioning and start-up support to operations.

 

Requirements:

Bachelor's of Science in Chemical, Mechanical, Biosystems Engineering or other engineering discipline that has a strong foundation in thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, mass/material balance and process design.

3+ years project work in a production setting.

General knowledge of production management with ability to develop understanding of plant Processes and operational needs.

High levels of organization, communication and documentation skills required to be successful.

 

Position #2: Maintenance Engineer  (Columbus)

 

Responsibilities include the design and installation of new equipment and instrumentation. Update and administer the Mechanical Integrity Program, ensure equipment compliance with Process Safety Management, design and size relief devices and safety systems, execute change control, update and manage P&ID using CAD. Collaborate on equipment troubleshooting and repairs.

 

Experience required is 1-5 years in a Maintenance Engineering role. Manufacturing experience is desirable, especially in chemical manufacturing. Experience in Mechanical Integrity, PSM (Process Safety Management) and Reliability. CAD experience is required.
