 Description

The Mechanical Engineer II will perform studies and analyze data pertaining to transport of solids, gases and liquids in support of project directed at the long-term storage and disposal of commercial spent nuclear fuel and high-level radioactive waste. Conducts thermal analyses and numerical simulations. Perfroms technical research and utilizes computers as aides in developing solutions to engineering problems. Will have technical responsibility for planning, organizing, and conducting technical projects or phases or projects. Formulates reports and complex data sets for project use.

 Required Skills

Requires a Doctorate degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Masters degree and 3 years of related experience.

Preferred: Experience or class work in thermal and mass transport.
