Mechanical Engineer - Material Handling/Grain/Design 35-45 $/hr

Engineering client has an IMMEDIATE NEED for a few Material Handling Design Engineers with 10-35 years of experience for a 3-6+ month contract assignment in South East Virginia. You need specific experience designing & specifying grain handling equipment (grain bins, conveyors, buckets elevators, hoppers, hammermills, augers, & similar equipment). You need to experience in the grain handling industry and should be able to design the conveying and storage equipment without having to resort to a vendor catalog or other references. You should be able to specify and/or design everything from the grain sampling probe to the conveying system that takes the corn from storage to the milling system. You will be working on a project to develop a standard design manual and it should contain as much finished data as possible to build or procure the equipment items, including dimensions, specifications, and any performance criteria. A proficiency with Microsoft Excel would be considered a big plus. Per diem will be given for candidates not local.
