Mechanical Engineer - (PW10411)

Engineered Solutions, a division of Actuant Corporation and a leader in the design and manufacture of hydraulic and electric-mechanical actuation systems for the RV, truck and off-highway markets has an immediate opening for a recent Engineering graduate with 0-2 years of Mechanical Engineering experience to join our Product Engineering group in our Mishawaka, IN location.

This position is responsible for the component and system design of assigned engineering projects to achieve improvements in product performance, quality, cost, ease of build, and other customer specified targets.

Primary responsibilities of this position include:
Design, prototype and testing of components and system to meet specific performance goals.
Providing engineering support to project teams on new product development and engineering change projects to assure cost, quality and delivery goals are met.
Address and resolve production and customer problems related to product design and supplier components.
Apply knowledge of hydraulic and/or electrical systems to troubleshoot current and proposed applications, and identify opportunities to enhance product capabilities and application. Identify new applications and advancements in technology.
Work with component suppliers to ensure their technical expertise and build capabilities.
Participate in design reviews for new products to ensure they meet expectations before release.
Apply knowledge and application experience with geometric tolerancing.


The ideal candidate for this position is a recent graduate with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in electrical or hydraulic systems, with solid practical experience through internships or 1-2 years of work experience.
