Mechanical Engineer - Turbine/Aerodynamic/Design 54.99-65 K/yr

Large Manufacturer, Designer and Assembler of small gas turbine engines is seeking a Turbine Engineer with a minimum of 5 years of turbine aerodynamic component design experience with aerodynamic definition responsibility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the support of engine component testing, conducting the analysis of engine and component test data, provide aerodynamic design support for the turbine stage from preliminary design phases through hardware procurement, follow testing and support into production program support, assist in improving design tools and procedures, conduct aerodynamic design of turbine stages, including radial, mixed flow and/or axial types. preparation of design and test reports for internal briefings, knowledge of Turbine loss predictions and modeling, experience with software for 3 dimensional airfoil aerodynamics definition and flow path, knowledge and experience with engine performance modeling, the capability to turn a design concept into hardware, conducts 3 dimensional CFD modeling and performance analysis in a design environment and posses the capability to interface with suppliers, customers and colleagues for support of aerodynamic component design
