Mechanical Engineering Sr. Specialist, Power Turbine

Rolls-Royce is pleased to announce an opening for a Mechanical Engineering, Senior Specialist in our Mt Vernon, Ohio facility.

The successful candidate will initiate, manage, and complete product cost reduction activities for Power Turbine and Exhaust assemblies. Create solutions that meet customer specifications and business targets (cost, quality, lead-time, and delivery) within defined budget and schedule. Perform engineering analysis on power turbine rotating and stationary systems and components. Facilitate teamwork between many disciplines, including manufacturing, quality, engineering, and supply chain in support of power turbine system development, production and operation. Resolve problems stemming from manufacturing or operating situations. Prepare reports, documentation, and deliver presentations as required.

Position requirements include: BSME (MSME preferred) or equivalent college degree with major in engineering. Experience in turbo machinery design/development. Background or demonstrated proficiency in structural analysis of high-temperature, rotating components is required.
Must be proficient in written and oral communication using the English language. Demonstrated ability to operate in cross-functional team environment, tackle a wide range of tasks, interface at all levels of business.
Preferred experience with Finite Element Analysis; ANSYS experience is a plus.
