Mechanical Enginer - Product Design

Sunnen Products Company, a leading manufacturer and global supplier of bore sizing and engine rebuilding equipment is seeking qualified candidates for a position within the product design and development group.  Responsibilities will include independent research and development and/or product design from concept to run-off on customer parts.  Recent college graduates will be considered; however, previous design experience in a tool manufacturing environment would be a plus.  Qualified candidates will posses many of the following attributes:

 

? High self-motivation with excellent time management skills

? Ability to think creatively in a fast past environment applying engineering principles to solve related problems ? either as a product designer or as a research engineer.

? Excellent interpersonal and communications skills; ability to interact effectively with customers and sales staff.

? CAD experience (Auto-Cad or Pro-E).

? Experience with fixture concepts as applied in a manufacturing/machining environment would be beneficial.

? Views occasional travel to customer sites as an opportunity for self-improvement

? BSME is a plus but not required.
