Mechanical HVAC Designer/Junior Engineer Position

 

Consulting Engineering Firm providing services to Architects, Contractors, and Building Owners offers an outstanding opportunity for a person to work in our Mechanical Engineering Department.

 

Qualifications:

$ Experience in a Consulting Engineering Office serving the Architectural/Engineering Community or with a Mechanical Contractor in the Building Industry

$ Experience with facilities for schools, community colleges, universities, municipalities, and medical projects

$ Proficient with AutoCAD

$ Be able to perform some of the following: Load calculations, equipment selection, equipment specification, system design, system layout, field investigation, and construction administration

$ Proficient in Design and Calculation software (Trace 700 and Energy Pro in particular), MS Excel, MS Word or WordPerfect.

$ Familiar with Green Buildings and LEEDs

$ Have good communication skills

$ Ability to think and take direction

$ Be a Team Player

 

Additional Helpful Qualifications:

$ EIT or PE

$ LEED Certification

$ Ability to do plumbing design

$ College Degree

$ Ability to deal with clients and represent firm in meetings.

$ Possess detailed knowledge of specifications and have the knowledge to write and edit them.

$ Possess solid knowledge of codes and standards

$ Ability to edit standard details for specific applications.
