We are currently seeking experienced Mechanical Handling Engineers for our Harrisburg, PA location. We also have opportunities in Las Vegas, NV and Oak Ridge, TN.

Areas of Expertise
 Design of Mechanical handling Systems: trolleys, cranes for 300 ton components.
 Design of Shield Doors.
 Design of Interior building mechanical material transfer systems.
 Interpersonal Skills; ability to interface with other disciplines, especially structural, electrical and instrumentation and control (I&C) engineering.


Work Scope:
Responsible for the design of specialized mechanical handling systems.
 Performs engineering design for mechanical handling systems including preparing engineering drawings and calculations.
 Coordinates assigned Mechanical Handling engineering work with other project groups.
 Prepare descriptions of structures/systems to support NRC license application

Required Education/Experience:
B.S. Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline with a minimum of 7 years experience. Prefer a Registered Professional Engineer with experience in designing mechanical handling systems in nuclear waste or nuclear fuel handling applications. Expertise in the operation of remote handling systems in a nuclear environment is a plus. Experience should include a broad understanding of cranes, material handling, remote handling technology and applications of mechanical handling designs in a nuclear application. Must have recent relevant experience in NRC, DOE or DoD facilities or projects. Demonstrated skill in leadership and oral and written communication.
