Mechanical Plant Engineer (Metals Mill)

FPC has a growing metals mill client in the Pittsburgh, PA region that is seeking to add a new Mechanical Plant Engineer to their staff to support their growth initiatives and current projects.  The hiring manager is seeking a degreed mechanical engineer with many years of capital project and plant engineering experience in metals rolling or finishing mills.  This person will need to have strong skills in capital project management, plant layout and machine design, mill machinery installation and commissioning, and troubleshooting plant facilities and machinery needs.  This is an excellent full time opportunity to join a highly respected metals company in a high profile position reporting to the plant head operations manager with room for career growth.  This includes a competitive compensation package with income potential in the $100K+ range along with an outstanding relocation and benefits package.

 

Requirements:
BS, Mechanical Engineering
PE, Plant Engineers, or PMP certifications are a plus
5+ years of capital project and plant engineering experience in metals mills
Significant mechanical engineering experience in hot rolling or cold rolling/finishing mill environments
Strong skills in capital project management, plant layout design, machine design, installing and commissioning mill equipment, and troubleshooting plant facilities and machinery problems
Good computer skills with MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD type programs
US Citizen or Permanent Resident
