Mechanical QC Inspector
Overview:
Baker Atlas currently has an opening for a Mechanical QC Inspector in the Quality Control Department within HTC Manufacturing. This position is located at 2001 Rankin Rd, Houston TX 77073.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for performing a full range of mechanical inspections using standard mechanical gauges and hand tools to ensure conformance of machined parts to applicable standards, specifications and engineering drawings. Initiates non-conformance reports on all parts and assemblies that are not to drawing and print specifications. Assures that manufactured units meet quality control procedures, engineering specifications and customer requirements. Initiates corrective action requests when conditions adverse to quality are repetitive in nature. Completes, inspects and distributes all quality records and documents. Performs specialized testing as required. Verifies tests as required on all components and completed assemblies.
Skill Requirements:
Knowledge of dimensional testing and manufacturing. Sound product knowledge.
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Must possess a good working knowledge of GD&T dimensioning principles and english/metric mechanical blueprint interpretation. Five years experience or a Certified Mechanical Inspector performing mechanical inspection by completing setups and using standard inspection equipment including gauges, hand tools, surface plate, optical comparator, and michrohite. CMM equipment experience is a plus. Should be familiar with performing first article, in-process and final mechanical inspection and capable of working in a machine shop environment. Must be self directed, detail oriented with effective communication and writing skills. Should have a flexible schedule and willing to work overtime as required to meet production schedule demands. Knowledge of ISO auditing principles is desirable.
