Mechanical / Robotics Design Engineer - direct hire (431A-3394445a)

Our client, an established and growing design and manufacturing firm in Central NY, has an immediate requirement for an experienced Mechanical / Robotics Design Engineer.

This is a direct hire opportunity for the right candidate.


Description:

Work on the origination, design, and development of new robotic work cell and tooling systems and/or the modification and improvement of existing designs. Design and develop engineering project systems and subsystems as a member of a project team. Provide direction and guidance to Shop and Assembly personnel as required.

Design equipment using established design standards, design blocks and with an eye to current technology and industry trends. Requisition components for projects maintaining compliance with approved vendor lists.

Incorporate standard control designs and ancillary subsystems to efficiently design and manufacture in a manner that meets project requirements and facilitates safe, productive startup, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.


Requirements:

- BSME or equivalent technical degree, plus minimum 1 to 2 years in a design-build manufacturing environment.

- Must have Robotics experience.

- AutoCAD skills required.
