Mechanical Systems Engineer

Cirrus Design Corporation, a general aviation industry leader and manufacturer of the SR20 and SR22 composite aircraft, continues to expand its talented engineering staff for new product development.  Cirrus employs approximately 1200 employees with corporate headquarters in Duluth, MN located on the scenic shores of Lake Superior.

 

Job Summary:  Responsible for the detail design and design substantiation of new aircraft mechanical systems, including advanced flight controls, doors mechanisms and landing gear actuation.  Duties include: resolution of technical issues within functional areas, participate in developing annual operating plan for advanced development area including personnel development, business systems initiatives, and project listings.  Qualifications:  Bachelor?s degree in Engineering. Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering functions and technical management.  Aircraft mechanical systems detail design and certification experience.  Knowledgeable in standard engineering procedures.  Exceptional communication skills on technical issues.  Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word).  CAD experience required, Pro-Engineer preferred.
