Mechanisms Project Engineer
Provide technical oversight and guidance to personnel in the Mechanisms Sensors and Solar Arrays Department to satisfy the technical needs of the program. Must work closely with the Program Subsystem Manager. Accountability for technical aspects of actuators for the program. Participate in technical proposals and assist in program planning and scheduling. Grade 10/11 determination will be based upon overall skills and experience.
Strong techical background in electro-mechanical components (motors, bearings, gears, and positon feedback). Must communicate well. Must be able to interface with various personnel (SE, MDI, Dynamics, Structures, I&T, Customers, Consultants, etc.)Must have experience and working knowledge of manufacturing processes associated with mechanisms and sensors including QA. Needs working knowledge of product life cycle.
