Melt Shop Maintenance Engineer

AK Steel ? the industry leader in carbon, stainless and electrical steels ? has an immediate need for a Melt Shop Maintenance Engineer at our Mansfield, Ohio, operation.

 

Description:

?  Will provide engineering expertise to determine the causes of equipment failures to develop and implement corrective actions.

 

?  Will assist in planning equipment outages and oversee downturn repairs to insure efficient repair and replacement of equipment. 

 

?  Will assist in establishing preventive maintenance procedures for proper care of the equipment. 

 

Requirements:

 

?  Ideal candidates will have a bachelor?s degree in mechanical engineering or electrical engineering and two or more years of related experience with large scale operating equipment.  Electric arc furnace experience is a strong plus.

 

?  Candidates must be self-motivated, eager and enthusiastic team players who have a strong work ethic and desire to make a contribution as well as fit comfortably in a heavy manufacturing environment.

 

?  Successful candidates will have strong problem solving and interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with hourly employees and contractors.
