(a2 Lead the analysis, planning, development, project management and implementation of strategic supply management related process improvement programs. Must possess the ability to:
(a2 Manage and optimize the procurement and flow of material to support the operations of Kidde Residential and Commercial operating units in compliance with lean manufacturing requirements.
(a2 Manage a group of five (5) direct reports with forty (40) procurement professionals across six (6) operating units in North America and China towards successful achievement of company wide objectives. Responsible for the successful implementation of both strategic sourcing objectives and tactical procurement of Kidde Residential and Commercial operating units.
(a2 Assist in the design, development, communication, approval, implementation, validation and monitoring of company-wide supply chain improvement initiatives
(a2 Conduct thought-provoking detailed analysis, information collection, planning, and development work for project deliverables related to process, methodology or plans for supply chain improvement work
(a2 Execute the daily tasks associated with assigned projects, conducting follow-up, facilitating meetings, coordinating communications, and maintaining project documentation
(a2 Work with others to advance the objectives of improved supply chain management practices
(a2 Conduct business operation planning and analysis to analyze existing operating practices
(a2 Collect and assimilate business operating information.
(a2 Evaluate external best practices and conduct benchmarking activities.
(a2 Develop detailed and actionable business improvement work plans, and execute projects within a project management discipline
(a2 Adhere to and promote the lean principles and ACE (quality) core values of the company.
(a2 Assist in the effort of integrating acquired companies in the company supply chain as directed by management.

(a2 Bachelor (`9s degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field with 10+ years experience is required.
(a2 MBA/MS degree with 7+ years of experience is preferred.

(a2 5 or more years of experience in Supply Management similar roles preferably in fire related product industry.
(a2 3 or more years of Project Management experience; Project Management certification a plus.
(a2 Familiarity with J D Edwards business operating system.
(a2 Ability to interact in team environment, with a customer-focused approach, and aptitude for continuous improvement in serving internal and external customers
(a2 Ability to lead team effort and to facilitate introduction of changes and shift of paradigm.
(a2 Conversent with the lean manufacturing concept and its applications to Supply Chain Management.
(a2 Comfortable in situation where divergence of opinions are debated openly and passionately by stakeholders to produce constructive outcome!
(a2 Ability to work in team and environments that cross different culture and geographical dimensions.
(a2 Experience in change management, business process reengineering, and conflict resolution preferred.
(a2 Strong diplomatic, debate, communication, presentation and negotiation skills. Ability to interact well with others on a personal or on a group level.
(a2 Demonstrate ability to balance well strategy at a macro level and detailed practical issues at a micro level.
(a2 Ability to speak or understand Chinese and other languages is definitely a plus.

(a2 Position is located in Mebane, North Carolina (1 hour driving distance from Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina).
(a2 Position will report to Director of Operations in Mebane, North Carolina.
(a2 +30% travel required both domestic and international destinations.
