Job Responsibilities
Duties will include working closely with the High Speed Serial Interface Product Development team including designers, product engineers, and other test engineers and are responsible for the development of test software and hardware for new products. This includes understanding device functionality, development of test plans, characterization tests, and production tests for wafer and package as well as verification of first silicon. Responsibilities also include providing technical support for all test sets, supporting failure analysis by testing and analyzing products returned by the customer. The job involves using state of the art mixed-signal test instrument. Remaining current on industry changes, as well as developing, learning and applying new test methodologies and strategies is a necessity in this role. Other duties and responsibilities that will be beneficial to the product development team may be assigned on an as need basis.



Functional/Industry Knowledge 
Required:
- Minimum of 7-10 years IC Test Development experience in a product development environment 
- Proven IC Test Development skills 

- A thorough understanding of high frequency digital/analog electronics and high frequency digital/mixed signal testing

- Knowledge and experience with bench instrumentation and high frequency test fixtures

- Knowledge and experience with ATE (Automated Test Equipment), particularly Teradyne and Agilent

- Strong debugging and problem solving skills

- Solid programming background

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

 

Desired:
- Past experience in a lead position giving guidance to other engineers

- Experience with digital simulators generated test vectors

- Understanding of PCIe, Fibre Channel, XAUI and other serial interface standards

Education/Certifications
Required Degree: BS
Preferred Degree: MS
Preferred Major: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline
