Mixed Signal Engineer

We supply high-value, high-technology manufacturing equipment to the global electronics market. Built upon a history and tradition of innovation that spans more than 50 years, we design and develop a broad range of products for the advanced electronic devices in use around the world today. More specifically, our equipment is used in the manufacture of digital/analog semiconductor devices, passive components and electronic interconnect circuits as well as vision solutions for OEM suppliers.
We are seeking a senior Electrical Engineer to be the technical engineering staff lead for one of its product groups. The position requires design experience in electrical system architecture and subsystem architecture down to the circuit assembly level. It requires engaging the collective engineering groups and product marketing to implement the best electrical architecture design for the product through past experience, innovation and cross product group initiatives. Research and Development opportunities include, but are not limited to, participation in product group research, system architecture roadmaps and research project participation. Up to ten percent of time is required for international travel for customer support, interface and presentations.

 

Educational/Experience Requirements:


Bachelors/Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering
8+ years of similar semidconductor industry experience

Required Skills:


-Technical leadership and mentoring
-Electrical architectural design of capital equipment
-Product definition and specification documentation experience
-Recent mixed signal circuit design at the PCB level (FPGA, microcontroller, DSP, A/D and D/A integration)
-Electrical Engineering design tool experience (PSpice, OrCad, Cadence)
-Verilog HDL and C programming language skills
-Electromechanical and Electro-optical experience
-Basic control systems theory
-Capital equipment regulatory requirements knowledge (CE, Semi, etc.)
-Applied lab equipment experience for debugging mixed signal designs
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
