Mojave A&E Machinist Technician

CITY: Edwards AFB STATE: California COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
* Accomplish the disassembly, troubleshooting, checkout, repair, modification and assembly of aircraft engine components, and engine related accessories as required.
* Accomplish maintenance, repairs, modifications and rework on assigned engine, engine tooling, aircraft and test cell components.
* Performing CVP (Quality), routine and detailed quality inspections of the above areas to ensure compliance and conformance with specifications and technical documents.
* Interpret work instructions, quality plans, process planning, technical data, etc., to produce satisfactory results to quality and quantity of work performed.
* Comply with applicable EHS laws, regulations and internal procedures, including participation in on-going programs to improve the health & safety environment in the workplace.
* Other work as assigned (to include being cross-trained into other disciplines, including engine overhaul).


Qualifications/Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience as a qualified/certified machinist.
* DoD SECRET security clearance.


Desired:
* FAA A&P License is preferred.
* Knowledge in the field of aircraft and/or aircraft engines with emphasis on disassembly, troubleshooting, repair, and modification.
