Metcalf & Eddy is looking to hire a WATER/WASTEWATER ENGINEER I for the office in NEW YORK CITY. Purpose: To support assignments and projects by completing standard or routine tasks or activities that require developmental or fundamental level knowledge and skills. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Performs a variety of engineering duties, including: Assists more experienced engineers in carrying out technical tasks requiring accuracy in calculations, completeness of data and adherence to prescribed methods, Prepares simple plans, designs and calculations based on specifications provided, Collects and extracts data from a variety of sources, Conducts studies of limited scope requiring application of prescribed engineering methods, Assists with the preparation of reports on assignments based on specified operational plans and well-established practices, Controls quality in field - testing materials, administering contracts and completing surveying, May communicate verbally and in writing with clients regarding straight forward technical and engineering information, Understands the UMA Health and Safety Program, cooperates with its implementation and complies with its requirements. If supervising others, implements the Program on their assignments. Expertise: University graduate in applied sciences or engineering with registration as an engineer-in-training or eligibility for registration as a Professional Engineer. Demonstrates skill and knowledge required to successfully perform the duties and responsibilities of the level.

Qualifications
* BS degree in Engineering
* 0-2 years of experience in WATER and/or WASTEWATER TREATMENT FACILTY design.
