NPI Engineer* (1178)

Lead cross-functional NPI teams in the successful development and introduction of products with focus on major new product and technology initiatives. This person will contribute to developing the product introduction process into a world class process at Elkay.

Responsible for ensuring assigned business plans/new products meet design, functionality, quality, cost, and schedule standards delivered through the attainment of four goal sets: Product Performance; Product Cost; Project Budget; and Project Schedule.

Responsible for preparing project plans including the definition of deliverables; sequencing and scheduling of project steps/tasks, and identification of employee/skill requirements, budgets and material resources necessary to ensure successful project completion.

 

 

Required Skills:

 

Candidate must have advanced knowledge of Solid Works. Also, must have PeopleSoft experience as required to support all engineering functions as well as Microsoft Office including MS Project and PowerPoint.


Candidates should have track record of successful project engineering efforts and experience in project management best practices. Should be familiar with all functions involved in product development; Design, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Logistics, and Quality.


In addition to technical skills, candidates should be able to demonstrate proactive aptitude to goal setting, project completion and identifying and removing schedule impediment
