New Product Development Engineer

Warren Rupp (A Unit of IDEX Corporation) a manufacturer of air-operated diaphragm pumps is seeking a New Product Development Engineer. This position, located at our Mansfield, OH facility, will manage new product development projects by proposing design concepts and by preparing design layouts, 3D solid models and 2D detail drawings. The position will also assist in the planning, scheduling and reporting of project activities; conduct project specification and design review meetings; assure that all assigned projects remain on schedule; maintain appropriate engineering records for all project work; prepare detailed cost estimates for development projects; and provide technical support to internal customers.

 

This position requires a Bachelor?s degree in engineering or a related field and 5 years of product design experience; or equivalent education and experience. The successful candidate will be proficient in 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks, and have a comprehensive drafting knowledge. Knowledge of cast metal component and molded plastic component design and knowledge of various manufacturing processes, including machining, assembly, casting, and injection molding is required.
