New Product Intro Engineer

QualificationsNon-technical - Strong leadership, project management and communication skills are required. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence peers in other organizations to accomplish objectives in support of product service engineering and support goals. Experience in a service organization, familiarity with divisional and field service activities and customer requirements of service/technical support engineers are beneficial.

Technical - BS (ME/EE/OE/Physics) or equivalent with 6+ years of related experience; or MS with 4+ years of experience, preferably within the semiconductor equipment industry. Strong knowledge of electronics, mechanical hardware, and software. Familiarity with KLA-Tencor products and NPI processes is highly preferred. ResponsibilitiesOrganizes, manages and drives all new product introduction activies assiociated with KLA-Tencor's thin film measurement systems
- Responsible for developing product support plans and managing all related activities through each phase of the product life cycle, including prototype development, Alpha and Beta testing, volume production and obsolesence.
- Drive engineering initiatives to maximize tool supportability, serviceability and reliability at lowest CoS
- Support tracking programs to monitor and control FaST product KPI's (CoS, MTBF, MTTR, MTBA)
- Coordinate with cross-funtional development teams to assess the effectiveness of current hardware and software designs, develop feature requirements specifications for product improvements and drive requirements through to field implementation.
- Manage dotted line reports on day-to-day NPI assignments & project deliverables.
