Nuclear Fuels Business Quality Director

JOB DESCRIPTION: Quality Director sought by major corporation to lead its Nuclear Fuels Business Quality Program.  Overall responsibility for developing, communicating, implementing a strategic Quality Program across all Plant Sites and functional areas.  Reports to Business V.P. Job duties include:
Identify key organizational Quality weaknesses through Corrective Action Process data analysis and work with Plant Sites/Department Leadership Teams to initiate permanent solutions.
Establish an oversight process to insure Quality Improvement effectiveness and meet Customer expectations.  Includes measurements to monitor progress against objectives.
Lead a U.S. Fuel Quality Council.
Communicate business direction and priorities to Customers through active participation/leadership at Fuel Customer Quality Council and Fuel Users Group meetings.
Provide direction to manufacturing site Quality Leaders who would report to this position on a matrix basis.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
BS Engineering or related degree.  Masters degree preferred.
Minimum 7 years Quality experience working in a highly Regulated environment within a complex manufacturing environment.
First hand experience implementing Quality Programs that comply with 10CFRO50; Appendix B and ISO 9000:2000 of particular interest.
Familiarity with 10CFR Part 21, Reporting of Defects and Noncompliance.  Also, NQA-1 Quality Assurance Requirements for Nuclear Facility Applications (1994).
Knowledge of Corrective Actions Process (CAPs) and Corrective Actions Review Board (CARBS).
Proven Leadership and Interpersonal skills.
