OP173 ? ENGINE DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER

 

Position Responsibilities:

 

FEV Engine Technology is seeking a motivated Engine Development Engineer to join our team in Erie, Pennsylvania.  Responsibilities will include design and development of major engine components in accordance with schedules and technical specifications. Requires interfacing with FEV's design team in Aachen, FEV's on-site mechanical test team, the customer's manufacturing and engineering departments and the production suppliers.

 

Qualifications:

 

?  BSME required

?  5 years experience in engine development minimum

?  2 years experience in test cell operation and mechanical development

?  Component inspection and engine build experience

?  Combustion engine background, with good experience in component development desired

?  Extensive knowledge of rig set-up and special instrumentation

?  Experience conducting mechanical validation tests, such as; oil aeration, piston scuff, crankcase ventilation, lubrication testing, etc.

?  Experience in component failure analysis and documentation

?  Unigraphics design experience desirable

?  Strong communication skills
