OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA OPERATIONS SUPERVISOR (1st Shift)

EDUCATION: BACHELORS 

SALARY: $60,000 - $70,000 W/BONUS

NOTE: FIRST SHIFT POSITION, THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN SAN GABRIEL.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPERIENCE: ABILITY TO OVERSEE, LEAD AND DIRECT PRODUCTION SUPERVISORS AND HOURLY EMPLOYEES IN A HIGH SPEED PRODUCTION/PACKAGING ENVIRONMENT

 

1. Ensure employees are following safety, quality, hygiene and environmental standards in accordance to GMP to achieve zero safety incidents and ensure a world-class performance culture.

2. Resolves technical problems in the packing, warehouse and / or process areas by working with operators, mechanics and engineers to consistently meet customer and consumer needs.

3. Ensure appropriate jobs skills and regulatory training is transferred and documented. 

4. Responsible for approval of employee time cards.

5. Administer disciplinary action and performance reviews in accordance with company policies and plant rules.

6. Improve the performance of compounding, filling and packaging, production maintenance, and receiving departments.

7. Resolves technical problems in the packing, warehouse and / or process areas by working with operators, mechanics and engineers to consistently meet customer and consumer needs.

8. Identify continuous improvement and cost savings opportunities.

9. Practice, coach, and transfer Root Cause Analysis skills to our work force.

10. Manage, lead, and complete small department projects to drive the business to world class.

11. Understand and become an expert in the process flow of raw materials to finished goods physically and within the business system tools (i.e. Interspec, SAP, etc)

12. Execute engineering projects with TPM methodology starting from the idea form, project briefs and execution.

13. Supports plant project activities, manages small projects, and is a key technical resource for large projects, including new products and re-stages.
