Sandvik Materials Technology, located in Clarks Summit, PA, a leader in the manufacture of specialty steel products has an immediate opening for an:

 

Occupational Health and Safety Professional

 

This position will be responsible for leading the implementation and maintenance of the OHSAS 18001 occupation health and safety managements system.  The position will focus on both ensuring ongoing compliance with Federal, State, and Local Safety regulation as well driving continual improvement in the Company?s key safety metrics. 

 

Responsibilities will include:

?  Implementation and maintenance of Company?s Occupational Health and Safety Management System to ensure ongoing compliance Sandvik?s Safety Policy and Objectives and, once achieved, uninterrupted certification to OHSAS 18001.

?  Develop, implement, and maintain safety-related programs and associated improvement efforts for Company.

?  Developing, implementing, and tracking safety-related training.

?  Work with product area Safety Teams to identify both compliance and improvement opportunities. Coach and teach team members on regulatory and management system requirements..

?  Providing management with safety updates, feedback, and appropriate reporting of key performance indicators.

 

The successful candidate will possess:

?  Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering, Safety Engineering, or Safety Sciences.

?  2 to 4 Years Experience in Safety-Related Position.

?  Knowledge of OSHA regulations in manufacturing environment.

?  Knowledge of OHSAS 18001:2001 a definite plus.

?  Proficient with MS Office

?  Ability to perfom well in a team based, continuous improvement work environment.
