Operations Management Development Program Associate</center


Purpose:

International Truck and Engine Corporation has created a new opportunity for top college graduates who want to become top performers within our organization. In the Operations Management Development Program (OMDP), you'll gain a broad understanding of International Truck & Engine Corporation's Truck Operations Group over a two-year period. You'll accomplish this by completing 3 to 4 rotations through areas such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Product Development, and Purchasing & Logistics. You'll interact with suppliers, customers, and employees at all levels. You'll have opportunities to work at our World Headquarters, Technology Centers, and Manufacturing Plants throughout North America. And you'll experience what it's like to work in a diverse, high-performance, automotive culture. As an OMDP participant, you'll have many opportunities to gain the knowledge and skills needed to excel in your future career, creating a competitive advantage not only for yourself, but also for International.

You won't be alone.
Before you begin, you'll be paired with two individuals who can help you throughout the program. A peer sponsor who is a current high-performance employee with similar interests will be assigned to help you learn the ropes, build contacts and become acclimated. In addition, an executive sponsor will be there to provide longer-term career guidance.

What you will learn.
Engineering: When rotating through our Engineering facility, you'll focus on understanding the product change process and the importance of cross-functional design input.
Manufacturing: Through Manufacturing, you'll experience the implementation of product change and the managing of our ongoing operations.
Product Development: A Product Development rotation will expose you to the fundamentals of program management and product planning.
Purchasing & Logistics: A rotation in Purchasing and Logistics will give you insight to negotiation strategies and total supply chain management.

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering

Additional Requirements:

Be in good academic standing

U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required. (Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.)
