Ortho Imagery Specialist

Ortho Imagery Specialist to perform ortho-rectification, mosaicing, tone balancing, formatting, and quality control of high resolution aerial imagery. Processing is accomplished within off-the-shelf and proprietary software environments. Individual will be responsible for writing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and maintaining QC documentation.

The Ortho Imagery Specialist will work closely with the development group to identify and document needed improvements to the production systems.




Requirements:
? Bachelor Degree in GIS or related field.
? Minimum 4 years of experience in mapping, GIS, photogrammetry or remote sensing.
? Minimum 2 years orthomosaic experience using industry standard tools such as PCI, IRAS/C, OrthoVista or similar.
? Solid understanding of photogrammetric principles.
? Proficiency in the use of the Windows operating system and applications software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
? Proficiency in the use of ArcView, MapInfo or similar software.
? Excellent attention to detail and the ability to accurately process results.
? Ability to make qualitative judgments regarding color image radiometry.
? Strong trouble-shooting skills.
? Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
? Ability to function in a fast-paced and schedule-oriented environment and to prioritize multiple assigned tasks making efficient utilization of time and computer resources.
