PD&R Staff Engineer, System Test

Job Description:
Lennox Industries, Inc. recognized as a premium manufacturer of residential and commercial heating and air conditioning equipment, has an immediate opportunity at its PD&R facility in Carrollton, TX.

General duties/responsibilities of this position will entail the following: Develop lab and field test protocols for communicating systems. Monitor and verify proper operation, recommend upgrades and improvements based on results. Develop rules/best practices for performing testing. Work with suppliers/consultants/engineers to implement and verify the above as well as help develop overall project plans and drive deliverables, on time. Research and recommend new technologies and practices for the above to allow Lennox to lead in the markets we serve. Develop opportunities for creating intellectual property in these key areas of responsibility.

Job Requirements:
A BSEE or MSEE from a recognized accredited University is required with over five years experience in a software/firmware/hardware design environment, with emphasis on system architecture testing. Other necessary skills are: Oral and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills and a team player. Self-motivator, multi-tasking individual capable of functioning in a fast-paced environment. Firmware/software problem solving skills. Demonstrated strong background and thorough understanding of: system level communications testing at an embedded controller level as well as internet; high level and low level languages such as "C", assembly; and software/hardware protocols and interfaces such as TCP/IP, RS485, RS232, CAN, Echelon, Bacnet and others.
