CITY: Erie STATE: Pennsylvania COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
Job Summary: To provide senior level technical leadership focusing on the selection and processing of materials; design and appplication of gears/ bearings for locomotive and windenergy sub systems and components. Essential Functions: Technology Leader in the area of mechanical static and dynamic analysis of gears and bearings. Responsible for material selection, manufacturing methods (including supplier evaluation/selection) and failure analysis of failed components. Responsible for driving and maintaining consistent use of DFSS/DFR methodolgy. Responsible for Design Review Processes, identifying risks and ensuring technical quality of gears/bearings design. Leader in mechanical/ metallurgical design and trade-off studies. Drive and Integrate the new technolgies by closely working with GE's Global Research Center. Key Technical Mentor with respect to mechanical designs, metallurgy and engineering failure analysis.

Qualifications/Requirements:
Basic Quals: A. BS in Mechanical or Metallurgical Engineering. B. Minimum of 15 years experience in design of gears and bearings. C. Experience with material selection and manufacturing methods for gears and bearings. Eligibility Reqs: A. You must submit your application for employment through gecareers.com to be considered B.
