PRODUCT ENGINEER - SUSPENSION

Our Novi, MI location is searching for a PRODUCT ENGINEER to work with our Core Engineering team on Suspension products.

Role Summary:
Responsible for product design and development activities pertaining to existing, new, and enhanced suspension products. Maintain the change control process and verify functional requirements. Interact with a cross-functional team in order to launch production products successfully.

Responsibilities:
- Performs product development of new and improved designs for automotive structural members, suspension members, and associated components
- Determines and executes activities in support of product development from design inception through product validation
- Establishes and monitors capability and standard practice expectations. Helps assure quality compliance in both design and structural characteristics.
- Technical liaison between customer and engineering team. Document data and results of verification process.

Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Masters Degree preferred)
- Minimum of five years related OEM or Tier I experience
- Knowledge of fatigue and durability standards in automotive structures and suspension systems
- CAD, GD&T, CAE and other software understanding
- Working knowledge of vibrations, vehicle dynamics, manufacturing materials and processes
