PROJECT ENGINEER (Chemicals)

Our client, a leading supplier of specialty chemicals, is seeking an experienced project engineer to oversee process and plant infrastructure projects leading to improved operations, safety and efficiencies.

This position is located in Arkansas.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 Oversee projects as assigned leading to improvements in manufacturing processes and upgrades in plant infrastructure. Manage projects from start to finish. Develop and justify project budgets, resource requirements and schedules. Oversee the contract bid process, including collection of bids, evaluation of proposals and awarding of bid-based contracts. Supervise the work and activities of outside contractors. Assist in the management of programs to assure the mechanical and process reliability of the production processes.

 

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:

 BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field. 3+ years experience in a manufacturing environment. Familiar with preparing and justifying project budgets Experienced in dealing with contractors, including the bidding process and supervision of on-site activities. Professional Engineer certification would be a plus.
