PROJECT LEAD, LEAN Electrical Panel Assembly
Description:
The Project Lead, Electrical Panel Assembly will organize, lead and facilitate improvement within a function that will have the greatest impact on process improvement and cost control. You will drive improvements in business performance using Lean Enterprise Six Sigma Technologies improving rolled throughput yield in our Motor Control Center Business. Your key responsibilities will be to analyze, test and improve production cycle time.
You will work with the functional Champion and business MBB's to dramatically improve Quote-to-Cash cycle time and rolled throughput yield for a $200MM engineer-to-order electrical panel business line; moving the needle on product delivery and quality is the litmus test for success. You will provide input on defining the improvement strategy and execute identified projects. Projects will primarily be focused around improving cycle time and quality within either the engineering design/approval processes or the production processes. The Lean efforts around this product line are part of a company-wide Lean "showcase"; visibility and opportunities for success are both very high.
This position is based in Richland Center, Wisconsin with approximately 20% travel in North America.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
o Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Business, Quality, Engineering or other functional area. Prefer degree in QE, IE, ME, EE.
o Demonstrated leadership driving project successes
o Minimum 3-5 years experience within specific functional area; or equivalent test engineering experience in an assembly operations, quality and or lean manufacturing environment.
o Demonstrated leadership capability and change agent.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
o Lean Experience
o Certified Green Belt
o Functional Experience in assembly with preference in panel assembly.
o Masters in Engineering or MBA.
o Three to five years operations, supply chain, and / or manufacturing experience.
o Bilingual in English/Spanish
