Packaging Engineer (15221)

Job Description: Packaging Engineer Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing packaging for US/OUS medical devices from inception to completion. Provide Packaging Engineering project management support as a team member for projects related to Medical devices.

Extensive understanding and practice of ASTM and ISTA testing standards is required. Experience with US, European and Japanese regulations and markets is important.

Generate, evaluate and coordinate packaging related documentation including specifications, test plans/reports, and other BSC Product Development Process documents. Strong knowledge of statistical methodology. Evaluate, create and document package/product test methods for new product development and existing design improvements. An understanding of documentation systems and an understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMPs) is required. Work closely with other members of the Packaging Engineering department and manufacturing facilities. Develop strong team skills, including communication, teamwork, initiative and managed execution of all project deliverables.
