Parallel Imaging Engineer

CITY: Waukesha STATE: Wisconsin COUNTRY: USA Essential Functions (Responsibilities):
As a parallel imaging engineer in the Reconstruction group of GE Healthcare's Magnetic Resonance division, you will.

*Collaborate with parallel imaging experts, academic/research and clinical partners within and outside GE to develop and realize Parallel Imaging Reconstruction techniques for various GE MRI product lines.
*Work with a cross functional team of pulse sequence engineers, reconstruction platform software engineers, coil designers and clinical applications specialists to productize parallel imaging techniques optimizing the algorithm and parameters for optimum image quality for various clinical applications.
*Develop software tools to make the image quality investigations, comparisons between various parallel imaging techniques easier.* Design and Develop Reconstruction algorithms and enhancements to existing techniques from feasibility through production.

Investigate and solve product quality reports from the field in the area of MR Reconstruction, including, but not limited to parallel imaging techniques.

Qualifications/Requirements:
*Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Mathematics.
*Demonstrated technical skills in the areas of signal processing algorithm development.
*Proficiency in C programming in a Unix environment* Experience in MATLAB/IDL.
*Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States immediately.

Desired:
*Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering or Signal Processing.
*Experience in offline Reconstruction of MR data.
*Hands on knowledge of Parallel Imaging Algorithms - SENSE, GRAPPA, SMASH, SPACERIP and their application to Cartesian and non-Cartesian acquisitions.
*Knowledge of MR pulse sequences, Acquisition Techniques and applications.
*Experience in C++ programming.
*Excellent written and verbal communication skills and team skills.
