Pipe Stress Engineer
CDI Business Solutions, a division of CDI Corporation, has a need for a Pipe Stress Engineer with our client in Aiken, South Carolina.
The Piping Stress Engineer/Analyst is a fully qualified professional in piping / pipe stress analysis experience, proficient in the utilization of piping / pipe stress engineering theories and practices. The Piping Stress Engineer/Analyst shall be proficient in the use of the Caesar II software program, including specific application of static and dynamic analysis for seismic load conditions. PDS and Microstation experience is preferred, but not required.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs pipe stress of piping systems in accordance with ASME, ANSI B31.3 code requirements using Caesar II software program.
Performs analysis of nozzle loads / stress on vessels using WRC 107/297 capability of Caesar II program.
Prepares engineering computations and analyses.
Extracts engineering information from CAD drawings and able to coordinate the design of unique pipe supports as required.
4-year degree in Engineering (or related field) and 10-15 years of related work experience in the field of pipe/pipe stress design and analysis. Professional Engineer registration is preferred.
