Plasma TV, LCD TV, Monitors Sr. Engineer

Summary:

 

This position will be responsible for executing new product development from inception through production for the monitor platform development team.  Focus is on CRT, LCD, LCD TV, and Plasma TV design and development.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

 

* Work with internal stakeholders and outside suppliers primarily in Asia to define new products from a mechanical, electrical and firmware perspective.

* Execute new product development from inception thru production.

* Evaluate and qualify CRT, LCD, LCD TV, and Plasma TV screen monitor designs from outside suppliers

* Create test reports detailing product spec deficiencies and make recommendations as to corrective actions required

* Evaluate existing product line for opportunities for cost reduction and continuous improvement

* Create engineering specifications and definitions for new product development and evaluate prototypes to insure that product meets defined specifications.

* Work with the ODM engineering resources to meet product specifications and delivery time lines.

 

 Requirements/Qualifications/Skills:

 

* At least 5-7 years industry experience

*   5+ years experience as an Electrical Engineer - mechanical background a plus

* 3+ years experience working on analog and digital displays concentrating on consumer CRT and LCD monitors

* Proficient with standard engineering test equipment (oscilloscopes, video pattern generators, etc.)

* Understanding and experience with LCD TV and Plasma TV design and development is highly desired.

* Capable of working in a very fast paced environment

* Experience in working and communicating with remote development in Asia

* Proficient with Windows operating system environment and MS Office applications.

 

Education/Certification:

 

BS Computer Science or BS Electrical Engineering or BS Mechanical Engineering
