Plastics/Tooling Engineer

Description:
Responsible for the management and maintenance of Avaya plastics and tooling. Supports New Product Introduction from design concept thru initial production. Responsible for sourcing and managing new tool builds, ensuring plastic components meet design intent. Supports product life cycle through implementation of engineering changes and cost reductions. Interfaces with internal (Quality, Procurement, R&D) and external (CM, molders, tool builders) customers to ensure adherence to Avaya Plastics and Tooling Standards.

Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering or equivalent experience, Mechanical Engineering preferred. 5+ years of industry experience and a background in injection molding and tool building is essential. Requires understanding of good manufacturing and supplier quality practices, as well as supply chain concepts and issues. Teamwork is essential. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Some travel (domestic and international) will be required.
