Plating Engineer

About the Company

Our confidential client, a manufacturing company, is located in Cambridge, MD. They are seeking a Plating Engineer for a fully integrated plating facility. The facility allows for complete process control. Plating capabilities include: Hard Gold (all over and selective), Nickel (Electrolytic Sulfamate and Electro-less), Copper (Bright and Electrolytic) and Tin (Matte Alkaline, Fused, Tin Lead 90/10 and Bright Acid)

About the Opportunity

The Plating Engineer is responsible for developing and maintaining processes and procedures for existing products and new product development in the plating department. Lead/support cost and quality improvement projects on existing/new products and department processes; perform analysis of key manufacturing parameters, prepare and implement design change requests as necessary to ensure and/or enhance product quality and manufacturability. Provide timely support to production floor in the resolution of production issues. Plan and coordinate the selection and utilization of appropriate manufacturing tools and equipment to maximize factory efficiency and productivity.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering 2-5 years experience in Manufacturing
