Small, growth oriented consulting engineering firm has an excellent opportunity for experienced Plumbing Designer/Engineers. The company offers opportunities for advancement as well as experience in a wide range of project types in plumbing engineering design.  The company project base is diverse, allowing opportunities in the commercial, educational, retail, and medical markets.

 

Qualified individuals must be able to design building plumbing systems for a wide variety of projects. Design tasks will include site utility coordination, design of building domestic water, waste water, and storm sewer systems, fire protection systems design, pump selection, documentation of medical gas piping systems, and other plumbing systems.  A general knowledge of building codes and ASPE standards is required.  We are not looking for plant or maintenance personnel.  This is a design position, not a construction job.

 

Candidates should possess knowledge of AutoCAD software and have Microsoft Office and Excel computer skills. The position provides good opportunity for advancement, personal growth, and cross discipline training.  All work experience will be over seen by licensed engineers, allowing a career path to obtaining a Professional Engineering license.  Candidates should have accredited engineering degree in Architectural Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, similar building systems technical curriculum, or advanced technical training in plumbing systems design for buildings.

Individual?s QualificationsSelf-motivated and self-starting individual. Able to transfer engineering ideas into CAD drawings using AutoCAD software. Able to perform design calculations for plumbing projects. Able to specify, size, and layout plumbing equipment. Able to prepare basic deliverables including calculations, drawings, and specifications. Detailed knowledge of general building construction and MEP systems is essential. Ability to handle multiple complex assignments. Work independently and as a team player. Good writing and verbal skills.
