Port Engineer

American Overseas Marine (AMSEA) is a global ship operation and management company headquartered in Quincy, Massachusetts. We are seeking a Level 3 Port Engineer to supervise and manage the maintenance and repair of lighterage embarked on the 5 MPS vessels managed by AMSEA. This is an entry level position for an individual to learn AMSEA?s policies and procedures, and become familiar with Port Engineering duties. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Tracks and monitors lighterage costs to budget and prepares reports for MSC.

 Coordinates the riding crew attendance and budgets on the MPS vessels.

 Assists with vessel Contract Quality Assessment inspections performed by MSC.

 Assists Port Engineers in developing ship repair/overhaul specifications.

 Visits/attends vessels in any location to assist the Port Engineer with repairs or surveys as required to meet company obligations.

 Manages projects as directed by the Director of Engineering.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Bachelor?s degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent.

 Familiarity with MS Word applications and associated software.

 Must possess a valid driver?s license and valid passport or be able to obtain them.

 Must be able to board a ship at mooring or at sea from a launch to conduct ship support activities.
